VP Experiential and Live Activations


The VP of Experiential and Live Activations will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s live events and IRL experiences.

You will help define and articulate the vision and strategy behind TIDAL’s experiential efforts and events to drive brand awareness, user acquisition, and subscriber retention.

The ideal candidate is a solutions-driven self-starter, organized, detail-oriented, and excited to manage a young team with multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This role will partner with multiple internal teams, including marketing, partnership, content, and design to bring the brand to life with great storytelling and interactive experiences. The candidate will lead a team of two.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage all aspects of experiential marketing including strategy, planning, creative development, and execution
  • Ideation, management and execution of a large range of consumer facing programs and live activations, including but not limited to member events, album releases, podcasts, live streams, and sponsor activations
  • Serve as a key lead in creative brainstorms, come up with process solutions, collaborate with multiple internal teams and external vendors, create activation tools and produce activations with a focus on strategy, ROI and impeccable execution
  • Lead and accurately manage experiential marketing budget
  • Develop strategies to increase efficiencies and build best practices
  • Manage internal reporting to senior leadership
  • Ensure flawless execution of all events
  • Establish event KPIs to measure effectiveness and extract key learnings from efforts
  • Challenge the status quo on all event activation and processes

Who you are:

  • 8-10+ years of relevant and progressive experience in experiential marketing 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in working successful integrated experiential marketing programs at the client and agency level
  • Passion for field and experiential marketing and a thirst for making all experiences - big or small - a representation of the brand’s DNA.
  • Comfortable ideating and experimenting with new ideas
  • Thrives in a start-up environment, is a resolution-builder, and a progress maker
  • Has experience with creative concepting with a team and is an idea person
  • Has excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to every detail
  • Is resourceful, inspired, and self-driven while jumping in to play different roles on any project
  • Has the ability to plan and strategize high-profile projects
  • Based in NYC but willing and able to travel domestically and internationally for events as needed
  • Ability to think strategically with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and able to live and breathe in all the on-site production details including load-in and load-out logistics
  • Strong leader with a track-record of impeccable execution, excellent communication and collaborative partnership
  • Self-starter who is extremely result and detail-oriented
  • Highly adaptable and resourceful
